SOUL Bowl IVSOUL Bowl photo
S.O.U.L. Bowl – David Pniewski’s  inspired idea to support SOUL’s ongoing efforts brings fun and funds each and every year.  Join us for bowling, food, music, raffles and an always interesting silent auction.  Last year, Russ Bisinger took home the envy of all others; an original sculpture by artist, Eqeador Miseria Carlos E. Espino.

Ginger with easter bunny
Easter Celebration – A bountiful dinner provided by  Angels Café in Ferndale;  members of our S.O.U.L. families enjoyed a fun filled day including photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny.  Everyone was given an Easter basket to take home.

Fashion Show – Ginger’s Café and Wayne State Fashion Design Student, Kim Wiechers, joined inspirations to create the First Annual S.O.U.L. Benefit Fashion Show. Models volunteered their time and the S.O.U.L. Resale Shop provided the clothing. Tea, scones, miniature sandwiches and dessert was served by the Café. Everyone involved had a lovely time and all proceeds were donated to S.O.U.L.

Strolling Gourmet – An event planned by Elyse Swensen who sells Two Sisters Gourmet party food. An abundance of samples of the food was prepared for a taste testing extravaganza. People came in to sample the food and then could place an order that night for the items they wanted. Fifty percent of the money from the items ordered was donated to S.O.U.L. We also had a silent auction that evening and a raffle of five donated gift baskets.

appreciation dinner
Catered Affare – An event planned by Ashley Gifford who was introducing her new catering business. She served an elegant five course dinner as a S.O.U.L. fundraiser. Fifty percent of the money from the tickets was donated to S.O.U.L. This was a way to help out S.O.U.L. and to promote her new business as well.

garage saleschristine alyson garage sale
Garage Sales -S.O.U.L. had garage sales from May to November to raise money. We collected items throughout the year and stored them away until the spring. We accepted donations from anyone who wished to give items such as clothes, furniture, household items, outdoor items, exercise equipment…anything that was in good condition. We raised between $500 – $1000 per garage sale.

Body Mind Spirit Guide Festival – The Body Mind Spirit Guide held a holistic Festival with 120 vendors participating. They sponsored S.O.U.L. as the charity they would be helping. We were given a table at the entrance to promote S.O.U.L. where we offered bottled water for a donation and passed out literature and talked to people about S.O.U.L. In the vendor room we had a table where we sold merchandise and could further spread the word about the purpose of S.O.U.L. There was a silent auction held in which 100% of the proceeds went to S.O.U.L. The Guide will sponsor S.O.U.L. at there next two festivals.
