VISION STATEMENT

The Vision of the S.C.C.A. will be to bring aspiring and established artists in all disciplines together to make a lasting difference in the lives of those who are assisted by S.O.U.L. (Source of Universal Love), via collaborative, collective, and creative effort.

The organization shall fall under the auspices of S.O.U.L. and all efforts, to include programming and events will be utilized to support and positively affect S.O.U.L., (Source of Universal Love).


MISSION STATEMENT

The S.C.C.A. will establish and manage an “Artist in Residence” Program.  They will hold meetings and events, along with fundraisers,  and perform community outreach to spread the literary and combined arts throughout the community whenever, and wherever possible.

Within these groups of artisans, they will recruit volunteers, and solicit donations to move the collective forward in order to meet its vision of support for S.O.U.L., (Source of Universal Love).

The S.C.C.A., in close partnership with S.O.U.L., will sponsor an annual creative anthology of written and artistic works, where all proceeds garnered from said anthology will go to support the Source of Universal Love’s mission of helping those in need.

The S.C.C.A. shall seek, local, regional, national, and international artists to lend their creative power to this effort, using their permission, to raise funds and awareness for the S.C.C.A. and for S.O.U.L..

They will furthermore endeavor  to create public awareness via local and social media wherever possible, for S.C.C.A. and for S.O.U.L..

The Artists in Residence Program is a call for artists to join our collective.
We seek Writers, Artists, Photographers, Film makers, Storytellers and all those in the creative arts.
Please consider joining our Artist in Residence Program today.

Cost: $50.00 annual membership

REGISTRATION FEES GO DIRECTLY TO SUPPORT SOUL AND ITS MISSION OF HELPING THOSE IN NEED.

S.O.U.L., a 501(C)3 non-profit corporation, was established to serve those in need. We assist the homeless, the grieving, people who are choosing to leave abusive situations,  single parents and their children, those who are re-establishing their life after divorce, and people recovering from major illnesses.  Source of Universal Love also supports other organizations with a similar purpose. S.O.U.L. serves all those who are in genuine need through compassion, dedication and integrity.  All donations and money are used to directly benefit the needy. The organization is operated by a group of devoted volunteers.

Submission Guidelines for S.C.C.A.
20 POETS 200 POEMS ANTHOLOGY

Under the auspices of the Non-profit organization, Source of Universal Love (S.O.U.L.), The Soul Collective of Collaborative Arts (S.C.C.A.) is seeking submissions for it’s first anthology, 20 Poets for 200 Poems.

Each poet who submits their work will be allowed ten pages of poetry that they have authored.  In addition, each poet will be allowed a single cover page for biographical information at the beginning of their works.

S.C.C.A. was formed to bring assistance to S.O.U.L. (Source of Universal Love) to provide funding and community outreach via the kindness and good will of all artists across all genres of creative expression.

Those who submit should understand also that by submitting their works, that they are in fact, donating it to benefit the mission of S.O.U.L. Each poem, including the author’s bio page should be formatted as follows:
12 pt. Times New Roman, double spaced.  Also with the author’s bio, please provide a photograph of the author to be used on the bio page.

Poets who submit their work, and whose work is accepted for publication, will retain all rights to their work upon publication of the anthology.  Poems can be previously published works, as long as the author still retains those rights.

This anthology upon publication will be dedicated to a chosen family or individual that S.O.U.L. selects.  The forward will contain that family’s or individual’s bio/story.

All proceeds of the sales shall be managed and distributed by S.O.U.L. (Source of Universal Love) to those in need and being assisted by S.O.U.L.

Poet recognition:  Each Poet that is accepted for publication, shall become an honorary inductee to the S.C.C.A. (The Soul Collective of Collaborative Arts).  They shall retain that membership in good standing for one year upon the date of publication of the chosen Anthology.

In addition, all poems submitted must pertain to the mission that S.O.U.L. has undertaken with regard to helping those in need.

The Mosavat Prize for Excellence in Poetry

On an annual basis, a cash prize and membership to The S.O.U.L. Collective of Collaborative Arts will be awarded to one individual that exemplifies the craft of poetry in fresh and unique forms.

In addition, winners will be given a guaranteed spot in the organization’s annual anthology of poetry.

Entries are limited to three poems per candidate.

Judging of entries will be performed by staff members of “The S.O.U.L. Collective of Collaborative Artists” (SCCA) to include the prize’s Name sake, “Hosain Mosavat”.  Learn more about Hosain at www.awinkforyourheart.com.  Entries are accepted year round with judging to take place in October of each calendar year.
