“Remembering Bridget” 3 mile Walk/Run:  Sunday, September 17, 2023, 10am – 12pm

This walk/run is in memory of Bridget.  The intention is to honor a truly remarkable woman that devoted her life to the community and serving others.  She would be pleased to know that the proceeds will benefit S.O.U.L., a 501(C)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping those in need.  Bridget’s tradition of helping others will continue.  Contact Jen at Jen’s Gifts of Love, 4280 Orchard Lake Road, West Bloomfield, Michigan  48323 at (248)682-5912 for more information.  

 

Thanksforgiving Distribution:  Saturday, November 18, 2023, 12-4pm

Meals are provided for families in need from the SOUL Resource Center & Resale Store, 23030 Mooney Street, Suite A, Farmington, Michigan  48336.  Purchase a Thanksgiving Meal ($99.99); donate a Meijer, Kroger, Target or Walmart gift card; donate non-perishable food; cook a turkey, or make a monetary donation.  Call (248)672-0616 or email soulnonprofitorg@gmail.com for more information.  Be part of the uplifting, caring experience, share the love and be thankful for “Giving and Receiving”!  

 

S.O.U.L. Holiday Party:  Sunday, December 17, 2023, 12-4pm

Please participate in the 2023 S.O.U.L. SOUL Bowl IVSOUL Bowl photo S.O.U.L. Bowl – David Pniewski’s  inspired idea to support SOUL’s ongoing efforts brings fun and funds each and every year.  Join us for bowling, food, music, raffles and an always interesting silent auction.  Last year, Russ Bisinger took home the envy of all others; an original sculpture by artist, Eqeador Miseria Carlos E. Espino.

 

Ginger with easter bunny Easter Celebration – A bountiful dinner provided by  Angels Café in Ferndale;  members of our S.O.U.L. families enjoyed a fun filled day including photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny.  Everyone was given an Easter basket to take home.

 

100_0750fashion_show_012 Fashion Show – Ginger’s Café and Wayne State Fashion Design Student, Kim Wiechers, joined inspirations to create the First Annual S.O.U.L. Benefit Fashion Show. Models volunteered their time and the S.O.U.L. Resale Shop provided the clothing. Tea, scones, miniature sandwiches and dessert was served by the Café. Everyone involved had a lovely time and all proceeds were donated to S.O.U.L.

 

strolling gourmetstrolling gourmet 2 Strolling Gourmet – An event planned by Elyse Swensen who sells Two Sisters Gourmet party food. An abundance of samples of the food was prepared for a taste testing extravaganza. People came in to sample the food and then could place an order that night for the items they wanted. Fifty percent of the money from the items ordered was donated to S.O.U.L. We also had a silent auction that evening and a raffle of five donated gift baskets.

 

appreciation dinner Catered Affare – An event planned by Ashley Gifford who was introducing her new catering business. She served an elegant five course dinner as a S.O.U.L. fundraiser. Fifty percent of the money from the tickets was donated to S.O.U.L. This was a way to help out S.O.U.L. and to promote her new business as well.

 

garage saleschristine alyson garage sale Garage Sales -S.O.U.L. had garage sales from May to November to raise money. We collected items throughout the year and stored them away until the spring. We accepted donations from anyone who wished to give items such as clothes, furniture, household items, outdoor items, exercise equipment…anything that was in good condition. We raised between $500 – $1000 per garage sale.
gallery_BMS4_large Body Mind Spirit Guide Festival – The Body Mind Spirit Guide held a holistic Festival with 120 vendors participating. They sponsored S.O.U.L. as the charity they would be helping. We were given a table at the entrance to promote S.O.U.L. where we offered bottled water for a donation and passed out literature and talked to people about S.O.U.L. In the vendor room we had a table where we sold merchandise and could further spread the word about the purpose of S.O.U.L. There was a silent auction held in which 100% of the proceeds went to S.O.U.L. The Guide will sponsor S.O.U.L. at there next two festivals.
